September 21, 2015 — The Ottawa Book Awards recognize outstanding published works of fiction including novels, short stories, children’s literature and poetry. I’m delighted that The Cutting Room was named a finalist in this year’s awards, which will be presented on October 21 at City Hall.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the book launch Thursday evening, November 13. It was great to see so many people out — and to get a little practice signing books.
I’d like to send out a big thanks to Kirkus Reviews. They were first to review The Cutting Room back in June. On December 15, the book was named to Kirkus Reviews’ Best Books of 2014. I’m honoured. What a great way to cap the year. Congrats to all the independent authors and publishers who made the list.
